I'm not familiar with the Hama bar, but the one I use for macro is
excellent. It's a Novoflex from Germany, and it was made specifically for MF
cameras like Rolleis. It has a very smooth geared slide that goes to 60mm.
I've also seen a Spiratone version that is not as smooth, but has a base of
125mm.

Both of these are available locally in Calgary. The Novoflex has a 3/8"
thread, the Spiratone is 1/4". They're around $100 Cdn.
