Viewmaster pix from Realist?

Is it possible to take stereo pairs with a Realist, then crop down the
frames to Viewmaster size? I realize that the focal length of the
Realist's lenses will be a little longer than optimal, but are there
other problems involved?

And to save me the trouble of looking it up, what is the film chip size
for VM?
