Jan Gjessing reports on Leo van der Hoef success story with the Connectic
Colour Quickcam contest. My congrats goes out to him! I went and checked
out the site of the contest to check out the pics. One small comment I
would like to make is that the toeing in of the shots were quite evident
and a bit disconcerting. This is a common mistake. Unless one is doing
really close-up work this shouldn't be done and only at very small angles.
He mentions in his instructions on how he took the pics that he indeed
do this. In any case other than that they looked good. One other note,
the pics presented can be done with the B&W version of the Quickcam just
as well, since the pics presented were "B&W" anaglyph pics.
I have done some macro 3D anaglpyphs with the Quickcam and also with a
Snappy connected to a videocam. (Don't know if they have PAL versions
yet) Check out an example of this at

Yea, I hope he can influence the top decision makers after he dazzled
them with the 3D stuff!!!
