Paul Wing was born in Sandwich, Massachusetts on March 9, 1913. There were no
world wars, no computers, no email, no fax machines, no television sets, no
microwaves, no jet planes, no lasers, no scanning electron microscopes, no
color film, no one hour processing, no McDonalds, no Motel 6, no PSA, no NSA,
no ISU, no PHSNE, no color film, no direct dial long distance - and no cheap
long distance   telephone rates. The world was a different place than we know
it today. And then Paul entered the world.

Paul graduated M.I.T. in 1934 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He
specialized working with process control valves for 48 years and has taught
many of us a thing or two on that subject over the years. We're sure you all
remember every detail. 

Wing is a Fellow of the Third Dimension Society of Great Britain, a Fellow of
the Photographic Society of America and a totally outstanding Fellow over
all.

His recent publication "Stereoscopes: The First One Hundred Years" has now
hit the stands (see your recent Reel 3-D Catalog No. 19) and is a real
winner. The information contained within its 272 pages will be utilized and
referred to for many decades to come, and the 750 photos and illustrations
(including 45 stereoviews of rare and exciting images) are worth the price
alone. Paul is extremely proud of this accomplishment and well he should be -
it truly is a masterpiece.
