I did read it carefully, Dan. It started off as:

>Man, you people really beat up on this camera...

Which is why I further explained the reason for not giving this camera high
marks. ANY stereo camera ( although the Nishika is NOT a true stereo camera,
but a LENTICULAR camera) that is $25 is worth pursuing. Who's arguing with
that? The fact of the matter is there are also $700 Nishika cameras out
there, same camera, same quality.

Did I say that? I will say that they ARE fuzzier and less contrasty than any
Realist I've seen, some of which were priced well under $100.Please keep in
mind the original post I was originally responding to was regarding a fellow
3Der who decided NOT to buy a Nishika, but pursue a Realist instead.

True, but wouldn't $100- $150 be a fair price for a starting camera? That
would certainly moved a beginner into a range where they could expect a good
quality stereo camera.

What IS a fad to you? To me it's something that developes a quick interest
and dies rather quickly. I think the Nishika follows those guidelines.

If you require a conclusion again, it would be this: What you pay for a
Nishika has no bearing on it's quality. Even a $25 one is only a good deal
if you are happy with the results. Some will be, others won't.

PS- I love debates as much as I love information about 3D. Glad to see the
balance is being restored.
