Stereo Club Fun

On Friday night, Eric Drysdale and I ventured out to the 10th anniversary
meeting of the In-Depth Stereo Photography Club in North Plainfield, NJ. We
walked into a room of sweet people who really know how to have 3-d fun. The
slide shows included Founders Favorites, Up Close on Flowers & Fruits,
People of the World, and Travel in India. At intermission there was a
poignant, thankful tribute to the founders and a social time to meet some
very interesting people. Then I saw for the first time the amazing "Highway
USA". (As we drove home via the Pulaski Skyway and the Holland Tunnel, I
wondered why there weren't more urban marvels featured in that show?)
This was my first visit to a stereo club, and I was mighty impressed. It was
the first time since I became a stereophotographer that I have had the
pleasure of just sitting back to watch an evening-long slide presentation.
When they finally kicked us out at 11pm I was so charged up that I wanted to
go right out and "extend my radius of action" as Paul Harvey said.
Many thanks to the members of the club for their hospitality and to Bruce
Rosenberger for the initial invitation (here) and for yoeman duty on the
projector.
