Splashing through the web, I discovered the NY Public Library site with a two
page stereoview exhibit of "Central Park in 1863."

The 22 views are from the ~70,000 item Dennis collection of stereo views. If
you visit, be sure to read the info about Mr. Dennis and his benefaction to
the Library.

I found the 2D thumbnail loading tedious, so I recommend stopping the page
download after the browser graphic placeholders and links appear and then
linking to the very nice views sight unseen.

I wonder if these locations are anything like what they were then...
