This viewer is a continuation of the old Brumberger viewer.  It is
a decent simple viewer with plastic lenses.  The price is OK for
a new viewer.  As a beginner you can also consider the $3 viewer as
a starting point with similar optics but no internal illumination
or focusing.  With a bit of luck you could find a better viewer (used)
for not much more money but if you want to get a new viewer then the 
Star D is perhaps your best bet.
