The report is much appreciated. Although I was sceptical when I read
the 100-4400 dpi spec, I am sure several of us were at least considering
this scanner for 3D slides because of its low cost. I gather the higher
resolutions (from software interpolation) weren't tried, or didn't help.

Regarding color mismatch, I have the same problem with my Logitech
parallel-port scanner with a Dell 486. After spending an hour of long-
distance phone charges with the tech support, it was concluded this
was a timing problem that could only be corrected by buying a second
parallel port. Instead, I found the colors are fine using my old 386SX,
but it sure is slow and it is easy to run out of system resources.

I guess I will try the 3D-slide/prints/scan route and see how that
turns out.
