Uh....Think again Mike!

 The original Kodak cost $25 at the time. That's close to A MONTH'S WAGES
for the average factory worker, or the equivalent to around $2000 today. You
call that disposable? The original Kodak was also a QUALITY camera, complete
with a Rapid Rectilinear lens. My original post was meant to compare the
difference in quality, not on the fact the they had to be reloaded in the
factory.

Kodak DID go into lower priced cameras like the Brownie, but ONLY after
success with their superior models. Even the original $1 Brownie would cost
$75 -$100 today in comparison wages.


My point was simply that I see no purpose in only targeting the
budget-minded and not those who take the medium seriously. You start off
with a lousy product and it will always haunt you. Offer something good and
you gain respect.
