Interesting observation Paul... I think you are right... Perhaps
there is more gap between the Kodak/Revere chips, compared to the
(non-existing, or occassionally negative :)) gap in Realist chips.
In Alex's table I noticed a variation in the gate height too. For example,
the Realist has 25.3 mm height while the Belplasca has 24 mm and the FED
23.6 mm. I have noticed that when I mount Belplasca chips I hit the black
(outside image) area when I push the chips all the way up in the Albion 7p
mounts, while I have never seen the black area in a Realist chip. At first
I thought that this was a result of the Albion 7p vs. 5p dimensions but now
I see how it can be due to the difference in image size.
Hmmm... more Realist advantages... :)
