Ray Dreaming etc.

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone on the list knows the best method to judge one's
stereo base on programs like ray dream designer, or other ray tracers. I
have fiddled a bit with the camera position to create my left and right
images, and have created things that are in 3D, but it has mostly been
[un]educated guesswork at this point. Is there a ready made formula?
Should I just pretend that the measurements are "real" and move the camera
1/30th or is this inappropriate for these programs? Or should I keep
fiddling away?

I am trying to make a three dimensional graph for a statistical presentation.

Another, potentially more difficult question, is: has anyone used the graph
editing capabilities of Minitab to make stereo pairs? Are there stats
packages that do such a thing AUTOMATICALLY? I have seen a number of older
journal articles with stereo pairs of graphs in them, but I just assumed
that these were hand done.
