I am not sure what rules you are looking for. I was talking about the
rating system used in PSA to give "stars" to participants. Every year
there are about 12+ PSA-approved stereo slide competitions worldwide.
These are contacted by stereo clubs and follow some general PSA guidelines
(I don't know what these guidelines are but are of organizational nature
mainly, I imagine)
Announcements of various PSA competitions are listed in the PSA Journal,
some of them are listed here and there is a master list to which you can
enter and receive information and applications at home. The information
that you receive specifies the rules of the competition. These might
follow some general PSA guidelines but they might also change from club to
club, especially in regards to what kind of format they accept (for
example, some competitions accept 2x2x2 format, others don't)
Usually each person is allowed 4 entries. The results for each entry is
"accepted" or "not accepted". About 1/2 of the slides are accepted (again
there might be some PSA guidelines there) and are shown in subsequent
public presentations of the salon.
The rating is very simple and it is based on number of acceptances from a
minimum of different slides (I think that 18 acceptances from 9 different
slides give you one star.)
For general information on PSA Stereo Division services, contact H. Lee

but cannot find it right now...)
