Roger,

Not a dumb question! =) On AOL choose the KEYWORD "Newsgroups" and you 
will be taken to the Newsgroups section. Go to the find option, type 3D 
for example, and all newsgroups with 3D in their name will be 
displayed. You can then choose to "join" which ever ones you want to. 
When you are finished, go back to the main Newsgroups screen and choose 
the option to "Read my newsgroups". That's all there is to it! Enjoy!!
