Which is to say that Eastman's "high" priced 25 cents/photo (total system
price) was in fact dirt-cheap AT THE TIME for what you got.  It was
a low-end photography product.

It's like someone coming out (now) with brand new 3,000 sq. ft. houses
on 15,000 sq.ft. lots and selling them for $40,000.   It'd be considered
a VERY low-end house (price-wise), even though $40K isn't pocket change.
