Iloca rewind, Line-length & other rules

     THANK YOU !

Thanks to Tom Martin and Fred Peters. I now know how
to rewind an exposed film in my Iloca IIa !

I'll cite Fred Peters on this one for everyone that
might be interested. He reads from his manual :

"To rewind the film, after final exposure, tension
the shutters with lever '6' (shutter cocking lever),
keep it in this position with right hand and rewind
the film with knob '8' (film rewind knob)."

I could never have come up with a solution like
that! Tried a lot of 'knob combinations' myself.
Didn't bring me to this solution however.

Thanks Fred for the 'copy of the manual' offer !

How clever / stupid / anything else were they in the
fifties to go for this 'solution' ?

Also thanks to Jeremy Hinton (other type) and Oliver
Dean (different Iloca type) for their reaction.

I've pointed out several times to keep your line-
length within 70 or so and to avoid TABS and so on.
I was not the only one ! (See the archives !)
Especially the contribution of Bill C. Walton in
digest 1977 was a real mess ! NOT the CONTENTS but
the LAYOUT. Is it that much trouble for a couple
of you to keep to the 'standards' ?
At least it gives ME a lot of trouble to keep part
     of some digests 'readable'.

Your (Bill) comments on the backside-writing on 3D
(and even 2D) pictures is very valid !
Please write as much info as possible: date, time,
who or what is in the picture. Most of my family
(the elder part) has passed in the meantime:
Father, mother, one brother and one sister and a lot
     of uncles and aunts.
I've a lot of 'family pictures' from 1880-1948 of
which I absolutely don't know who they represent.

On the subject of the 'Sports Camera' I can inform
you that I have gathered about 4 or 5 of them on
'Flee Markets' in The Netherlands for about $1
a piece. I never 'used' them in 'Stereo-mode'
     however. (Contribution Norm Goldblatt).
They were merely used as (cheap) sequence-cameras.

BTW: Has anybody noticed the availability of the
3Discover viewer (and cassettes) outside the USA ?

Again thanks for all your contributions !
