Form what I can see Oliver, a major % of the Realist format using public
does not even understand or know about the "close up"option that EMDE,
Albion, RBT or others have to offer.
>>When I was using Albion masks, I normally used the Nimslo format for extreme cropping and for close-ups made with a Realist, but it's a bit narrow for some compositions.
AHA...There you have it, that is the misperception, time after time I
offer the RBT 4 Nimslo mount to a Realist owner, and they say...."Oh...I
have a Realist....I cant use that mount"
Many people refer to that RBT 4, or the EMDE Ultra Close-up, or Albion
close -up as the "Nimslo mount" which it is used for...but is very
useful to Realist users for cropping and bringing the image....closer to
the window...or an object "through the window " if possible.
It is a half frame size, the RBT4 is 21 x 16mm with a raised bottom edge
by 2mm....it can be used as a lowered top edge as well to get that nasty
chandelier crystal out of the top of the image...so you can get moms
meatloaf offering through the window and in to the audience!
The EMDE and Albion are great for cropping and have a greater vertical
running distance (Dennis Sherwood will get a copy of this and respond
back to the list with the actual height on the EMDE ....vs the RBT 5
Realist normal which has a vertical run of 23mm)
>>Please send a sample of the RBT version of the Realist
Close-up format! I'm also looking forward to seeing the other goodies!
Cordially,
I'll send an RBT 4 out to you to try today. And anyone Realist users
who want to experiment with the Realist close-up sample....leave me your
slo mail address.
Up close....but not through the window of you computer screen...with
