Bell & Howell cameras

I've had good results with the Bell & Howell cameras. There are three,
sold under the TDC moniker. The Colorist I, Colorist II (with coupled
rangefinder) and Vivid. The first two were made in Germany and have
Rodenstock optics which are excellent. I've found the mechanics of the
cameras to be less than ideal, though. They have an imprecise and
troublesome advance mechanism. The Vivid, which tends to be more
expensive, is a wonderful camera. It's the cousin of the View-Master
Personal, made in the US by Stereocraft Engineering. The Colorists tend to
go for $150 - $250, depending on model and condition. The Vivids tend to
go for upwards of $250. They're hard to find with the original leather
case.
