slide bar macros

My first experience with a Jasper Engineering slide bar was a great
success!  I was able to use my Maxxum 700si with a macro lens for 
close-ups of flowers, set up on the dining room table in early morning
sunlight.  These were in Kodacolor, meant for Holmes-type prints.
 My biggest problem was trying to cut the 3 1/2 x 5 prints from the
lab into a pair of 3 1/4 squares which would register correctly in 3D. 
Does anyone know of an easy way to do this without chopping off too
much of the image?
