What are you trying to view them with? I've never tried to make 3.5" prints
shorter for use in a Holmes viewer.
You have two forms of control to determine what gets chopped and what
doesn't:
- Composition of the original photograph(s).
- Selection of where to cut.
If you could explain the problem in more detail, I could give a more detailed
answer.
For trimming prints, I've found an office paper cutter to be *MUCH* easier
to use than a knife or scissors, and it produces much better results.
