Realist versus Loreo

I'm back again.

I have two stereo cameras sitting on shelves gathering dust. A Loreo and a
Realist. I don't use either because I prefer other stereo cameras to shoot with.

Recently there has been a discussion as to which one takes the better
picture. There's also been a discussion regarding which format makes the
best image.

Being a darkroom and copy technician since 1974, I have lots of darkroom and
copy equipment laying around, and have a slight break before my term finals
kick in.

What I plan to do is this: Load up both the Realist and the Loreo with the
same black and white roll ( Yes, SAME, I'll transfer it to both cameras) I
will use a fine grain film like Delta or FP4 Plus, and shoot the identical
scenes using a tripod. The Loreo doesn't have a tripod mount, so I'll just
brace it. I will then process the film in 1:50 Rodinol. Next I will print
the centers and edges at 200x magnification, using the same contrast filter.
I will be using my $600 Rodagon enlarging lens for this.

I will then post my results.

What do I hope to prove here? Nothing. It's just nice to be able to give an
opinion an have the work to back it up.I will not be backing my results with
words like "inferior"or "garbage", though the occasional "excellent" or
"good" may be warranted.

If anyone sees an error in my methods, or wants give advice, please feel
free to contact me.

Sam
