I would estimate that there are about 10,000 members worldwide, not counting
the "duplicates". I'd suppose that most members of the ISU (International
Stereoscopic Union) are also a member of other 3D-clubs. And there are
crazy people like me who are members of several clubs:

        DGS (Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Stereoskopie)
        NSA (National Stereoscopic Association)
        ISU (International Stereoscopic Association)
        Stereoscopic Society
        TDS (Third Dimension Society)
        NVvS (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Stereofotografie)
        SCSC (Stereo Club of Southern California)
        SSCC (Sydney Stereo Camera Club)
        VTCA (View-Master and Tru-Vue Collector's Association) (disappeared?)
        
So you'd better not count me 9 times ;-)

However, there's a large number of stereo enthusiasts who are not organized
in clubs. I'd estimate this number to be about the same (10,000), if not
bigger.
