Freeviewer's Assistant & other musings

Greetings from the Lurk,
I have enjoyed Dr. T's posting about the Freeviewers Assistant (crafted by
Alan Lewis). I'll have to get one as soon as I pay off my charge cards #8-)
I am wondering if this device could be used to view _video_ shot with a
"beam splitter"? It might be a fun, and cheap way, to do some 3-D tv. Has
anybody tried this yet?
Speaking of Dr. T...this week I finally got around to fixing the focusing
mechanism on my Kodaslide II. I used "How to Maintain, Repair and Improve
your Kodaslide I&II" by George Themelis. His instructions were great as I
installed the piece of tube (also provided by Dr. T) on the roller . Thanks
George, for helping me solve this source of constant irritation...and
thanks for a great idea. If you have a Realist or Kodaslide viewer then you
will find Dr. T's books _very_ useful.
People like George, Alan, and the many others are making great
contributions to this hobby/vocation/passion. They make 3D much more
enjoyable for the rest of us!
Having been on the P3D list since somewhere in the 400's, I thought it was
pretty cool to receive issue 2000! I was a little worried about my computer
clock until I was told that it was the _year_ 2000 I had to worry about.
Wheew! Thanks to everyone, past and present, who make this great list
possible. I truly enjoy it, opinions and all #8-)
...and now...back to the Lurk
