Several weeks ago I mentioned finding a book with lots of technical
details about most commercially available film types, and took a stab
at remembering the name (which I failed to do correctly, of course).
Last week, as film discussions cropped again, and tax season finally
ended, I went back to the book store to look for the book again.  I did
not get to post my findings before heading off to NSA Southwest,
however,
and find on my return that I should have collected a lot more
information
from the book (should have bought it for the P3D library, more likely!);
I was concentrating on slide film, not anticipating this neg-slide
debate.

Perhaps one day soon I can research some of the specific neg-slide
issues
that have recently arisen here.  For now, I will post some of the info I
collected late last week, which I found to be relevant to quite a number
of current and past film discussions on P3D.
