>>For my first post to this list I would like to report on the 3D show in
Buffalo 4/21/97
This was a very enjoyable presentation by Jon. The group was small and
included some active 3Ders. The selection of slides was different enough
to keep the interest. With some close ups and long exposures, and some
very good pseudo-stereo. With the use of a Brackett Dissolver the show
blended together very well. It is so nice to be able to go back and
forth between two images so easily. This ability helped with a couple
Then and Now 3d shots that showed the same view with quite a few years
difference in age. Some music to go along and WALLA you have a Stereo
show. Refreshments and talk followed with a slide box set up to view
some more interesting shots. Tried to get him to donate the projector as
the door prize but for some reason Jon was againstthat idea.
Along with the display of a few of those Siamese Twin SLR's and free
admission it made for a very nice outing. Thank You to the Buffalo
Industrial
Photographers for hosting this meeting.
Well that was my first post. Howd I do?? Marty Abramson
MARTY....you did good and thanks for the post-game wrap up......reason I
could not donate the projector is becasue mine was donated to the repair
shop at Brackett Industries.....and they are on winter vacation for a
while longer ( I am know as the "Brackett Breaker" by bob
Brackett.....and other owners....for my breaking of the dissolve shaft
several times....hey...I am a heavy user of this wonderful machine....
mine was out of commission that night...I was borrowing Ed Shaws!!
By the way Marty....if you had stuck around.....maybe I would have
bought you an Ice Cream Sundae....we all went out for some
afterwards....and those who partook inthis activity are now younger and
smarter for that!
See ya! Jon Golden
