Dear George;
Haven't written, or even been able to take the time to read the
postings, lately. Reading several this afternoon.... wanted to remark on your
PS, which follows... Storm

PS. (not related to previous posting) Just saw first Realist roll of a
stereo newbie. Most pictures overexposed by 1-3 fstops, some totally
washed out. Only two pictures exposed properly in entire roll. I was told
that exposure was decided using a spotmeter (this 3d newbie has some
photographic experience... previous newbies didn't own lightmeters and
relied on sunny day rule, producing properly exposed slides from the first
roll). My conclusion for newbies (unrelated to posting I am replying to):
If you don't know how to use a lightmeter (or spotmeter), better stick with
 the sunny day rule!

George:
You definately have a flair for humor..... such a pleasant way of
putting things.... I enjoyed my own "firsts", and I don't believe they are
over exposed, but I will admit that that day I rather cheated..... I had
several cameras that day (National Equestrian Gran Prix), and was already
overloaded (or at least, I felt that way with two kids in tow, also). I
didn't want to carry one thing more than I had too. I simply used the same
settings on the Realist that my Miranda had auto-indicated for the other
photos! (and a bit of common sense!).......... I don't know how practical it
was, or whether it is worth suggesting to anyone else, but that's how I did
it!
I found myself suddenly without an income last week, so I have been
very busy with the "resume' & pounding the bricks" routine. I'm taking a much
needed brain rest this afternoon, and reading through many of the 3d lists.
In other words, you may find other notes from me in your mailbox!..... When
it rains, it pours, and after all, I AM a storm!
