Directly - and not -related:
About 40 years ago, a photographer in Li=E8ge (Belgium) Mr. Matagne patented
under the name 3Spacial" a pseudo-st=E9r=E9o system : a dia, or a film=
 (flat)
was projected through a single projector with, in front of the lens, two
polarized prisms (somewhat as the Zeiss system). The two images were so
projected on a silver screen, a few centimeters apart. The idea was that the
screen had a black border with "crenels" protruding in the picture. So, seen
with polarized glasses, the image was not on that screen, it was on the
other side, and the brain is imaginative enough to invent some depth... Same
result as the system depicted!=20
