During March,  I been travelling in Tokyo, Japan to research on the
latest 3-d
technology there . I had been lucky to see a new D-6 HDTV format with
digital
compression and putting two frames of left and right images one
something like
one frame of tape space on the new format called D-6 developed by
Toshiba.

The result is very good. They were using two gigantic Mitsubishi
Projectors
stacked one over another. The programme was played back by one Toshiba
D-6 machine on to a high quality fresnel screen using back projection.
It is
by far the highest quality of 3-d video I had ever seen.
