Another ABC 3D critique

Forgetting about how awful the content of the 3D in the shows was, I
have to say that I was fairly impressed with the technical aspects of
the production. Most of it worked very well on my set. I kept flipping
the glasses up to see what a person without glasses would see and
except for one time when a saw quite a bit of red fringing on one
character's face, I thought the red/blue shift was barely noticable.
The whole show could have been shot in 3D and most people would never
have known. There was a short period of time on Home Improvement when
they were not poking props out at the camera and I thought that was
quite nice.
On one of the shows, right after the 3D segment, there was a bunch of
red tulips or roses. It was a kick if you closed your right eye, the
flowers were bright red, but if you looked only with your right eye,
the flowers were all washed out, almost pink because of the red
sensitization (is that a word?) from the glasses.
I wanted to mention something about the red right/left controversy
that has been festering for the last couple of weeks, just turn the
glassed inside out or upside-down and they will work perfectly with
normal red/left 3D. They are only cardboard.
Incidentally, the Barqs glasses are pulfrich.
