Well the diagnosis, I mean conclusion is not definite and it might very
well be stereo. What makes me think it's might not be stereo, is the
lack of any key words such as stereoscopic. They mention navigating
through the colon while viewing it on a computer monitor. One would
think they would mention some kind of 3D viewing device at this stage.
Then again maybe it's sloppy journalism as you stated.
VR would seem to indicate stereo, but I have seen virtual reality
described for 2D images in head mounted displays. It got the VR
designation due to it's head tracking capability. The VR term is
also used to describe one navigating in virtual 2-1/2D or 3D space.
So unless specifically mentioned in some way I assume 2-1/2D.
Gabriel, who suddenly has to be excused. ;-)
