I once made a close up attatchment for lenticulars for my Nimslo using a
large cylindrical perspex lens originaly intended for demonstating optical
principles and so of of not very high quality. It was actualy biconvex so I
had to slice it up the middle and regrind and polish a flat surface making
it plano-convex and able to fit across all four lenses . Theoreticaly the
image should have been somewhat anamorphic but was not particularily
noticeble a bigger problem was the flat sides top and bottom one was
originaly painted white to show the ray paths through the lens so gave so
reflection the other was even worse due to total internal reflection. This
was largely cured by painting the surfaces black . Close ups can look more
convincing than conventional lenticulars as the small effective lens
seperation 18mm for the Nimslo/Nishika Ritttai? perhaps 36mm at the most
which makes lenticulars look quite flat is more appropriate to close ups.
