Don't know much about "Chinatown" but another piece of trivia or
mystery is the video cover on the web page peddling it. I noticed
that the globe that the cast is looking at is reversed. That is 
Africa seems to be west of North and South America. Now if one
mirrors the image so that the Earth is in the proper orientation
the angalyph glasses that they're wearing are red on right!
Conspiracy, subminal message, etc.......?????? or just plain mixup!
