My Realist w/ Ilex Paragon lenses is 50 years old... There are some
Realists that are 30 years old... I would reserve the term "antique" for a
camera that is from the turn of the century or older. The Realist and your
Kodak are just "old cameras".

I guess I don't remember that... It happens so often :) But I have a
serious question: What is your normal routine? Do you advance the Kodak
right after you take a picture or just before taking the next picture? I
believe it is recommended not to leave the shutter cocked for long periods
of time which would suggest that it is better to advance just before taking
the picture. In this case, a Kodak user might forget to advance as a
Realist user might forget to cock the shutter. With my Realist I always
advance after I take the picture (advancing the film puts no strain
anywhere) and cock the shutter just before taking the next picture. And,
yes, sometimes I might forget to cock, as I was forgetting to check the
focusing with the Kodak.

Only those that count for ME, not "a beginner". "Appealing pictures" is
the best feature I am looking for... The big rewind knob is totally
secondary.

IF I decide not to keep it and IF it works properly (no sticky shutters)
THEN I will ask quite a bit for it and I am sure some suc..., I mean
customer, will pay it, after all the publicity that you guys gave this
camera!!!
