TDC & V-M Questions

Good afternoon, fellow photophiles,

A Mr. Ken Luker writes:
>>
The barn door [of the TDC projector] seems to be placed in the light path so
that as the
slide is being inserted the screen is dark. It avoids the motion
sickness caused by seeing the image move sideways across the screen
as the slide is positioned. The barn door is opened by a tab on
the carrier, at the last instant just as the moving slide has come to
rest.

Pardon me, Mr. Luker, but the cure for such complaints (from an obviously
spoiled and milk toast crowd) is to place a Pulfrich neutral density filter
over the right lens of the polarized glasses of each viewer. If this does
not provide them with a full 4-dimentional thrill, then they need a brisk
spanking. (What to say to Tab just before he goes on stage to give his
speech: "Hey, Tab, your barn door is open.")

Next, I would like to provide information for the following reader. A Mr.
Michael Kaplan asks, "Does anyone know what film stock View-Master is
currently using for their reel production?" Well, Mr. Kaplan, judging from
the awesome clarity and brilliant colors found in all V-M images, it is safe
to assume that they are using Fuji's new Velvita emulsion formula. You know,
it takes a full *4 ounces* of milk to make each slice of this fantastic film.

And now. . . the winkies:  ;^)  ;-}
