I've had a few requests for info on this... The only thing that makes the
job complicated is retaining the shutter. If you wanted to bag the shutter
you could do it in half an hour and still have time for a beer. However I
like the shutter for its presentation enhancement, and took the trouble to
retain it. By the time the dust settles from NSA I should have time to
take some photos of the unit in a torn down state. Hopefully I'll also
have some added info from Oz about another guy who did it (using a
"telescoping" shutter-- and no, I don't have a clue as to what the
mechanicals are like on his concept.) Once I have good photos, I'll see if
I can get Sam or someone to stick them on a web site for awhile. For those
attending NSA, I'll have it along and we can take it apart there for a
look see if you're curious.
Meanwhile, I could still use another trashed Selectron to experiment on...
