Naive question: Why is this great news?

I mean, how much are they paying? Or, are they paying anything or is the
glory enough reward? I bet there are many stereo photographers (myself
included) willing to have their own pictures appear in 3Discover just to
see their name (they will acknowledge the contributions, will they? Come
to think about it I have not seen any photographers' names in the cassettes.
So, no money no glory? What's the deal?)

If they want to make this product better in picture quality, they should
improve their copying methods. Most of the photography is great IMO, but
the end result of copying is horrible. Contrast build-up is a problem and
colors do not reproduce well. And I worry that the colors will not last
for long. Somehow I feel that they use inferior copying film. Any info in
this area?
