Busch Veriscopy Purchase

I'm hoping to purchase an F-40 soon, and hoped some of you with 
experience with that camera could warn me of any pitfalls to avoid. I 
have read the archives, and the only thing mentioned is the low 
contrast caused by light reflections. Do the fixes alleviate that 
problem? Are there other common problems to check for? I have a choice 
of 2 cameras. Other than cosmetics, what would you look for in 
comparing them? One camera has original lens shades, I guess that's a 
plus.
