Ah shucks, the cult leaddder has summoned me again, just when I
was ready to go to bed and saying good night to my other 3D buddies
offlist. Ok last message for the night.
>I support non-for-profit stereoscopic organizations (like NSA)
>and certain individuals in the 3d business that are knowledgeable
>and promote stereo with their work.
Very admirable and it shows.
>3Discover has not shown any interest in stereoscopic photography
>beyond selling their product. No representation in NSA conventions,
>no representation in photo-3d. So, we have the unpaid volunteer
>Gabriel to answer all our questions and assure us that all 3Discover
>images are great and there is nothing to be improved.
Very well put. All I can say, aren't we all suckers for 3D. But I don't
comprimise my integrity. I never said there is nothing to be improved.
It might come across like that but yes there is always something to be
improved and WE and THEY certainly know it. As great as the product is,
they are always working on improving it. I am not at liberty to devulge
alot of things that I got to see at the site but can say they are
earnestly working hard at it. Case in point. They have made continuing
improvements on the viewer which are not readily observable. For
example in the programming of the processor. Another readily observable
change, that can be seen in the recent viewers is the LED. The recent
models coming out of production have a infrared LED (misnomer on L)
which is invisible compared to the one with the red LED. I guess
you can call the red version a collectors item!
>Under the present status, I'll buy their products but would hesitate
>to give free images or do unpaid work for this company.
You shouldn't feel that way. They are on the up and up and this impression
might be due to the rather larger company at play here. They are just
being cautious with their product since they have invested a tidy sum
in trying to get this product off the ground. This might be the reason
why we haven't seen to much public relations. But the company is honorable
and stands behind their product. Example, they honor their warranties if
any problem arises.
Gabriel working (or more aptly described as volunteering) toward the
persuit of truth, honesty, and justice in 3D. (or something like that)
