Wowsers! It makes you want to go back to the telegraph habit of counting
your words! (stop)

I haven't read Bob's tutorial lately, so I don't know where the discrepan=
cy
come in, but you've got it backwards. For use with a normal anaglyph view=
er
(red on the left) you should take the red channel of the LEFT image and
place it into the RIGHT image, replacing the red channel there. This will=
give you a normal anaglyph, compatible with everyone but ABC.
As for the Pulfrich question, these glasses normally have a grey lens on
the right eye, and the effect then works when the camera is travelling fr=
om
right to left. The important thing is that it depends on some kind of
lateral motion of the camera relative to the subject or vice versa. There=
are several erotic videos, for instance, where the camera is photographin=
g
action taking place on a merry-go-round platform which is spinning
counter-clockwise, which was easier than having the camera always moving.=
The effect is also triggered in static shots when someone walks across th=
e
scene -- walking left to right, they are in the foreground, walking right=
to left they are in the background. Then there's the classic experiment o=
f
the pendulum swinging back and forth on a flat plane, which appears to be=
going in circles when viewed with Pulfrich glasses. A little
experimentation will help you figure it all out pretty quickly.
