Well then, if Bob doesn't mind, I'll throw a couple of carcasses onto the
chicken barbecue:

Of course, the Realist Chicken gets run over in the driveway before
starting across.  Unharmed, it dusts itself off, ranges and focuses on the
far side of the road in one motion, then confidently crosses on its forehead.

The Pulfrich Chicken never crosses the road at all, just walks slowly
sideways all the way along it.

The Kin-Dar Chicken examines the road very closely all the way across.

The ABC Chicken walks into the path of a truck with red and blue
headlights, turns the wrong way and is flattened.  Whoah!
