NSA '97 is coming up fast! Only three weeks till the biggest Stereo
Convention on the planet gets underway. Just to keep everyone aware,
here's a batch of quotes from recent posts:

>From Dalia:
>It looks like this is going to be a great convention. I truly feel sorry
>for all that can't make it. It's the 3D event of the year. There's 3D
>sunshine in the Pacific Northwest this year and if you ain't goin, you ain't
>gonna get your 3D fix and you gonna be depressed.
>

>From Phyllis Maslin:
> At the NSA Banquet there is a guest speaker, this time an engineer from
> ViewMaster, good food. laughter and thankyous. There is limited space and if
> you wish to attend please register now as the price of the meals goes up to
> the actual cost June 23rd. It would really help your planning committe and
> yourself to register now by sending your registration forms or contacting
> Ron Kriesel at KRIERO@xxxxxxx

>From Mary Ann:
>Go to
> http://www.cinti.net/~vmmasell/bellevue.htm
>
>Here you will find info on Registration including an "on-line"
>registration form that you can send to Ron with your $$$.
>Program information for the Stereo Theater
>Trade Fair information
>Etc.
>The speaker will be David Hitchcock who worked 35+ years for View-Master
>beginning as foreman of the Personal Camera assembly line at Stereocraft
>Engineering. He went on to work as head of the test lab for Sawyers
>and Quality Control for GAF & VMI (he retired when Tyco Toys took over).
>
>He has had extensive experience with stereo cameras of all types
>including production of the TDC Vivid. He's also an engineer and
>serious stereo phototographer.

And from me:
>Although each Convention is different, there are some generalities that
>apply to all of them.
>
>You can be certain that each will be the largest gathering of 3-D
>enthusiasts for the year, with something for everyone, regardless of
>particular preferences.
>
>It will always be the largest gathering of dealers of 3-D equipment,
>supplies and views.
>
>It will always be the most Stereo Theater you will see in any weekend
>during the year.
>
>It will always be the best 3-D get-together on the planet, with more people
>who already know "What kind of camera is that?" than you're likely to meet
>throughout the entire rest of the year.
>
>
>Friday through Sunday will be filled with Stereo Theater programs, with
>slide shows encompassing the entire 150 year history of stereo photogeaphy,
>from classic antique stereoviews to the breathtaking work of contemporary
>masters to state-of-the-art computer graphics.
>
>Friday night brings the Spotlight Auction, with "over 200 choice lots of
>stereographic collectibles selected specifically for their potential to
>enhance any collection."
>
>Saturday and Sunday are the dates for the Trade Fair. Nearly every
>major dealer in vintage stereo images and equipment will be represented at
>this 100+ table trade show, as well as merchandisers of current stereo
>cameras, accessories, projectors, mounts, viewers, images and books. Odds
>are, if it isn't in that room that weekend, the stereo-related item you're
>looking for isn't available anywhere.
>
>Saturday night has the Awards Banquet at 7:00 PM and Sunday morning has
>the President's Breakfast scheduled for 8:00 AM.
>
>REGISTER NOW!
>We would like to pre-register as many as possible! Pre-registered is the
>way to go, as the manpower required to generate all of the badges,
>stickers, packets, etc. on-site really slows things down, and wouldn't you
>much rather be watching a slide presentation than standing in a line
>waiting to register? Mail in that entry form today!
>
>
>Entry forms can be found inserted with the last two Stereo World magazines,
>but if you aren't an NSA member (and why not?) you can link to a
>Registration Form on the web by following the NSA '97 link from Mary Ann
>Sell's page:
>
>Go to: http://www.cinti.net/~vmmasell/bellevue.htm
>
>
