Realists 50th Anniversary

As most of you know, the Realist camera turned 50 this year. I thought
it would be nice if someone made some affordable item to commemorative
the event. Well, the year is half over and I haven=92t seen one yet, so I
decided to take matter into my own hands and have one made up. I came up
with a clever idea for an item (horn tooting here!), and talked it over
with Ron Zakowoski (the current owner of the trademark). He gave the go
on it, so I ran the item out for an estimate at a local metal stamping
shop. The estimate came back a little higher that I had wanted. Is
anyone on the List associated with a metal stamping shop, or can give a
strong recommendation for one that they use? If so, please contact me
off List. I will let everyone know when it is ready.
In the meantime, I am going to have some clothing items made up with the
Realist logo embroidered on them. These will be high quality items sold
at near cost. The embroidery is done by computer and really looks quite
good. I would like to find out from people what kind of items they would
be interested in the most, as there is a minimum purchase of each item
that I must order.
The items and approximate prices are:
Ball cap with adjustable size strap - $15
Ball cap with leather size strap - $18.50
Cotton Polo style shirt - $28
5 pocket photo vest - $35
The ball caps will have the Realist logo and say "50 years of quality 3D
photography". The other items will have just the Realist logo on the
left crest.=20
If anyone is interested in sporting the Realist logo on their attire,
please contact me off List and let me know which items you are
interested in. These are not for sale at this time, I just want to find
out if people are interested. If enough people are, I will post the
details on the Sell3D List when they are available.
Thanks, Tom Martin
