Okay here goes.
 
1)  Setup the left and right images for parallel
    viewing and look through the freeviewer to view the images.
    (I am assuming the right eye is used.)
2)  Now turn the freeviewer 90 degrees counter-clockwise,
    but still looking through it with the right eye.
3)  Put the left image directly (aprox., not critical) below
    the right image.
4)  Adjust mirror (to taste ;-) ) and presto 3D!
    or preferably, leave mirror in closed position and just move
    back till it fuses.
