Sometimes I see a slide where the closest object is too far
away (one of those Ron Labbe's favorites :-)) and there is a
huge gap between the window (mounted at the usual 7 feet) and 
the image.  I then comment: "Need to push the window further back"
I just cannot write "Need to bring scene forward".

Another example of a similar situation is our perception of the
hyperstereo.  There are two ways to explain the visual perception:
One is to think of yourself as a giant with eyes spaced several
miles apart.  The other is to think of yourself as the normal
person you are but the scene as a model scene.  Both approaches
are equivalent.  Yet most people prefer the second one.  Why 
is that so?
