Fold-over print mounts

I have been speaking with a couple of people off-list about the
possibility of making a very deluxe archival fold-over print mount, which I
visualize as something between Joel's medium-format mounts and Quentin's
Q-Vues.
These 'ideal' mounts would combine the cleanly cut beautiful card stock of
Joel's mounts with the ease of using the Q-Vues. The big difference
between the two would be the use of an archival stock, an important feature
for those who want their work to last a while.

Of course, I do not want to step on anyone's toes (or patents!) with
this idea, but I feel it would be a very usefull item...one that does not
currently exist. I realize that many people enjoy the Q-Vues, but I am not
fond of either the choice of stock, nor the finish of the cut edges. They
could also be a bit more sturdy.

I'd like to know if this mount interests people, or if anyone has
any suggestions.

                                                    :-)jamie.
