Yes, I use Robert Thorpe's system of aligning prints, skewed or
otherwise, and have found it quite successful. As to adhesive,
I have an old, but still workable, Seal Dry Mount press, plus a
new tacking iron. I cut and trim the prints after lightly tacking
pieces of colormount tissue to the backs, then line them up
and center them on pieces of matte board, 3 1/2 x 7, and after
checking correct positions for right and left, again lightly tack 2
corners of each. If you must reposition them, it's an easy matter
to pull off the tacked areas. Pre-heat the press, using the low
setting, and about 15-20 seconds should give a permanent bond
-- and don't forget to protect the print surface with several sheets
of Kraft paper!
