Sure, it's a real breeze for LARGE distances like that and it only costs about $2.   



Answer:   Buy a map.   If you get a map of the city, you just find where you are and where the  
things are you wanna shoot and check the scale on the map.  Divide by 30-50 (whatever) and  
you're there.
