I missed plenty & I was there! TOO much for one person
to see!
Lawrence
P.S. Thanks to all who made this possible! My own special
thanks to Mike Weissman, who headed up the 'Electronic
Stereo Theater Program'. He spent the better part of three
days in a small room showing 3D videos and computer
imaging. Thanks to him, I was finally able to see the first
feature length 3D film produced in 15 years (even if it was
only on video). Also loaned to the convention by the Richard
W. Haines, the maker of 'Run For Cover' (1996) were his
3D restorations. These included: 'Milton Gunsberg Presents
Natural Vision' (1953), 'Motor Rhythm' (1953)- this short was
compiled from footage released at the 1939 & 1940 World's
Fair, 'Doom Town' (1953)- a very dark documentary of the
March 17, 1953, atomic bomb test (the actual shot of the
bomb was flat) and short Russian 3D films.
I had asked the question, "Would Richard W. Haines' next
film be in 3D?" The answer is no, it will be a film noir shot
in black & white!
