Achromat Lorgnette is back

I have a few more Achromat Lorgnette viewers available once again.
It is advertised in Sell-3d.
For those of you who have not heard of this stereoscope using achromat
lenses please visit my web page at:
http://www.arlington.net/homes/dlewis/projects/achrom.htm
For those who do not have internet access, or are not on "sell 3-d", the
following is a description of the viewer:
The Achromat Lorgnette is a hand held, portable lorgnette stereoscope
using superb optical quality Keystone achromat prismatic lenses.
A lorgnette viewer is a stereoscope that is held in one hand while the
viewcard is held in the other (or place the viewcard on a table). The
stereoscope itself does not have a card holder.
The Keystone achromat lenses were used in Keystone's high quality vision
testing instruments, made some years ago and not offered now. I have
found a small number of original, new achromat lenses and use them in a
beautiful mahogany lorgnette, that includes a mahogany wood storage box.
Why achromat lenses? Achromat lenses produce superior images compared
to the usual single element lenses in Holmes stereoscopes. They are
color corrected lenses with very little distortion. The improvement in
image quality is most noticed in a sharp black and white stereoview.
There will be no color fringing along the sharp edges of the image.
On color stereoviews, the image will be perfectly sharp, have excellent
contrast, and true colors with no fringing.
I have also noticed an apparent increase in depth in stereoviews while
viewing with achromat lenses. I believe that this is due to the
extremely sharp and crisp edges of the image elements in the
photograph. Without color fringing the edges are sharply delineated,
making the separation of depth levels more noticeable.
If you are a serious Holmes format viewcard collector, or a serious
stereo print photographer in the Holmes format then you will enjoy the
quality image presented by this viewer.
