What is the "infinite monkeys" theory? For your information Paul,
I like stereo photography and take plenty of stereo pictures because
that's something I enjoy doing... I was taking plenty of pictures
even before I got involved with stereo photo competitions.

Yeah... 1953... the good old days... But in 1997 the average
photographer shoots more film which is also cheaper than ever...
My shooting was not a normal weekend production. It was a 3 day
weekend and I was on vacation in Chicago. This was one of only two
vacations that I am taking this year. My 13 rolls result in about 260
stereo pairs but I bet I paid less than the photographer in 1953 to
shoot his 100 pairs. The Fuji Sensia 100 that I use cost me about
$3.60 per roll. Total cost for film and processing is less than one
night at the Westin Hotel that we were staying.
This coming Sunday I am leaving for my second and longer vacation,
for two and a half weeks to Greece. Will you be shocked if I take
40 rolls of film with me? Again, buying, processing and mounting
this film is only a fraction of one airplane ticket. After the
vacation is over, all I'll have left will be the memories and the
pictures.
I love stereo photography and don't have to apologize for the number
of rolls that I shoot. Now with my 7p Realist that gives me 19 or
20 pairs per roll, I am using even more film than previously. And
if I were using an RBT S1 stereo camera I would be shooting even
more...(as owners of this camera have already discovered, right
Bill? :-))
I just spent a wonderful evening mounting 9 rolls. Two more are
coming tomorrow and the Slowchromes maybe by Friday... I bet this
year I am going to break the barrier of 100 rolls and I am darn
proud for that!!!
